Clear Linux The Next Great Linux Distro for Gamers

Gaming is one thing that everybody loves. And if I talk about gaming on linux. What will be your reaction? You will say I’ll use windows for this or buy a playstation/Xbox. If someone wants to play games. He just buy a windows PC with tons of RAM and high-end graphics. But the cost will hike. And many people wants an open source OS to play games, I am one of them. 

 

Clear Linux OS provide you this. In 2016 the news, “1000+ games released onsteam with linux support” has changed the overall picture of what we see a linux machine.

As you see the Clear linux Project official website. You will find that Intel’s Open Source Technology has been working on its Clear Linux Distro to bring the best Linux support for Intel architecture in cloud-based deployements.

And the important thing is Clear Linux is mostly focused on workstation/server performance.

Clear Linux OS for Intel Architecture is focused on the Cloud.

Clear Linux recently added games bundle. And I say it’ll be interesting to try out some games on Clear Linux in future.

At this point in time, Clear Linux only support or offers accelerated graphics. And the Open source Radeon or NVIDIA proprietary drivers don’t work.

In the near future, I hope that Clear Linux also ships with support for dedicated graphics and becomes a gaming Linux distro in the true sense.

I have to say, the boy who started a little project (linux) at his college days, has grown so big. I am a great fan of Linux. And if you haven’t use any Linux distro. I must say try out one.
