So, who are my friends use Linux as your host or guest operating system. I guess many. And Linux is amazing no doubt. And there are many interesting things you can do with your linux machine. From developing your own tools for hacking to creating your own operating system.

Today, my friend I want you to know about an amazing tool in linux. Googler, the one tool from which you can search in your linux terminal. Here is how you can google search from linux terminal.

Now-a-days linux is no more geek stuff. It is getting more and more popularity. And I think Google is one search engine which is known by everyone. Am I right?

And you know what you can actually search from linux terminal. We use a known utility known as Googler.

How to install Googler in you linux machine?

Now first you have to install googler. And before installing googler. You must know that it is writtern in python and make sure you have least python 3.3 installed on your computer.

And there are two methods for installing the googler in your linux machine. 

 

Method 1: Installing from the source code:

Open up your terminal. And start by typing the following commands.

~$ cd /tmp

~$ git clone https://github.com/jarun/googler.git

~$cd googler

~$sudo make install

~$cd auto-complete/bash/

~$sudo cp googler-completion.bash /etc/bash_completion.d/

Method 2: Installing from the installation package

Now here is another method you can use to install googler in your ubuntu machine. Just type the following commands in you terminal.

~$dpkg -i googler_2.7-1_all.deb

Now you have installed you gooler in your linux operating system. Time to perform some google search. Open your gooler by typing the following command in your terminal.

~$googler steve jobs

You can use “p” and “n” to navigate to the previous page and next page of the Google Search result. And type “?” For help.

There are lots of things you can do with your linux machine. Linux is amazing as I said before and I am in love with linux.
